Matt Pennington is the President of Drake Development and a founding partner of Drake Health.
Over the course of his career, Matt has completed more than $1 Billion in development projects.
That experience has led to a broad understanding of real estate investment and development including: financial analysis, negotiating purchase, sale, exchange and lease of properties, designing and executing development plans, navigating regulatory, planning and zoning hurdles and meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Matt's projects typically range in size from $500,000 to $200+ million. He is versed in several development types including: mixed-use, infill redevelopments, retail/restaurant roll outs, and multi-location healthcare.
He has worked with numerous local and national tenants over the course of his career including: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, Department of Veteran Affairs, Kansas City Chiefs, Shake Shack, and Topgolf.
Matt attended the University of Nebraska Wesleyan, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is also an active member of ICSC
Matt lives in Overland Park, KS along with his wife Antoinette and their four children, Alana, Ashton, Camila, and Naomi.
